Why would you want to hire me to officiate your wedding?

I am based in Miami, Florida but I am available to travel all over the world. In fact, I have officiated weddings in New York, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, the Dominican Republic, Spain and South Africa.

For USA based marriages, I am a legally certified wedding officiant in every state. For weddings out of the country, the couple will have a civil ceremony in their place of residence, and I will then perform the wedding ceremony as part of the weekends festivities.

I am a professional officiant for many types of wedding ceremonies, including interfaith weddings, same-sex marriages, elopements, and last minute ceremonies. I am not a priest or a rabbi and as such I am not available to do religious weddings. My ceremonies can incorporate aspects of a couples religious beliefs. For example, some couples choose to add a reading of a Christian scripture by a family member. Others of the Jewish faith decide to crush the glass at the end of the ceremony.

I customize each wedding ceremony and tell the story of the couple I am marrying. I like to spend several hours with the couple finding out details of their lives separately and together so that I have all the tools to write an authentic story. I have a very warm and compassionate nature and always find the beautiful details to put into the story.

Having been in the event planning business for 25 years prior to becoming a wedding officiant, I am also able to help with the processional and the recessional and any last minute details that might come up. My experience with weddings spans many decades so nothing comes as a surprise to me.

I include the rehearsal within my fee. I realize that sometimes it might be far away and on a different day to the wedding, but I will still be available.
